The little rubber tires roll so smoothly across our hardwood floors, he pretends he's chasing robbers all afternoon. It's sturdy enough that even his enthusiastic two-year-old sister can't break it.

My three-year-old hasn't put this wooden police car down since it arrived. The paint hasn't chipped once despite being dropped on the driveway a dozen times, and the little details make it feel like a proper toy rather than cheap plastic.

The wooden body has a nice weight to it, and the little siren makes my four-year-old actually stop and listen instead of just tossing it in the toy bin. It's held up fine through a week of daily patrols around the living room.
