My niece has been "making" me dinner every afternoon since this arrived, and the little metal colander is surprisingly sturdy for how light it is. The wooden pieces feel smooth with no rough edges, which matters with a toddler who puts everything in her mouth.

The wooden cheese grater is her favorite piece, she "grates" it over everything we cook. Even the metal colander feels sturdy enough for real play. Best rainy afternoon purchase I've made in a while.

My daughter has been serving me wooden spaghetti from this set every afternoon since it arrived, and the metal colander is her favorite piece to "drain" it in. The grater is small enough for her three-year-old hands to actually grip, which I didn't expect.
