The FSC-certified wood feels properly solid, not that lightweight balsa stuff you get with cheaper sets. My two-year-old stacks the mountain and all eight animals for maybe ten minutes straight before the whole thing crashes, and she giggles every time.

The eight wooden animals are chunkier than I expected, so my two-year-old can actually grip them without help. The mountain base has a nice weight to it, which keeps the whole stack from tipping over too easily.

My toddler plays with this every morning before breakfast, lining up the mountain animals and knocking them down with way too much joy. The FSC-certified wood feels solid and smooth, no splinters, and the little drawstring bag keeps everything contained when we're heading to grandma's.
